AT & T to get hands on T-Mobile

In what might be called  a path breaking acquisition  of the century , two major telecom giants may soon merge together . This comes as a great surprise to every one in the country . AT & T would acquire T Mobile for whopping amount of $ 39 billions. With this acquisition there will be only three major telecom players in United States of America reducing from four.This Acquisition will bring a combined customers of 130 million customers under their service overtaking the current second big telecom giant Verizon.The consumers may have to cope up with lesser competition in the telecom sector , this means that there will be price fight or cost cutting in the near future since there is not much scope for bigger competition for AT & T .AT & T merger with T- Mobile will make the only GSM mobile carrier in United States of America with other operators from CDMA domain like Verizon. There two big main reasons for this acquisition AT & T are expecting a huge increase in mobile data traffic by 2015 hence they are in need of  large extent of spectrum to serve their subscribers.On the other hand T -Mobile has lost so many contracts from the subscribers in the past couple of years leading to no other choice but to agree with the deal to survive the loss. AT & T will be paying $ 25 million as hot cash while the remaining amount of the deal will be settled to T- Mobile with stocks and shares of AT & T .With the combined forces of AT & T and T - Mobile subscribers are sure to see the quality get enriched and wireless networks being maintained as tidy as possible .
